Who I am
I’m Markus Ostertag, a tech executive and problem solver based in Munich, Germany. I’ve spent over a decade building scalable systems on AWS, leading engineering teams, and helping organizations make the most of cloud technology.
What I do
As Chief AWS Technologist at adesso, Germany’s largest system integrator, I work at the intersection of cloud strategy, go-to-market, and technical leadership. I help teams and customers make smart decisions about AWS - from architecture to adoption to scaling.
My background is hands-on: I’ve built and operated highly scalable systems for years. Today I bring that deep technical knowledge into strategic conversations, mentoring, and public speaking. I’m at my best when I’m solving complex problems, thinking through strategy, or being a sounding board for others - listening well and giving honest feedback.
